"I approve MYSELF"
Hi friends and readers! It’s
Tuesday! Hope everyone had a great weekend full of love joy and peace, and a
good start to the work week. If you aren’t on the happy boat just yet then I
hope this can help lift your spirits, and put a smile on that face :D
The past four days I have been
battling some inner demons that maybe some of you can relate too. Before I
moved to North Carolina you could say I was somewhat of a “partier.” I lived a pretty wild life, and now being
back I guess sometimes I still think that I enjoy doing those things. I think
it’s because it was what I did when I lived here before. I make myself think I
want to go out, and even go as far as making plans with friends! (that I later
cancel on) Point is I don’t fit into that lifestyle anymore, and that’s not
judging on people who go out, because I have been there done that! Had some great
times! Hehe. But right now at this stage in my life my idea of a good time is
being home with my family watching movies snuggled up on my couch. My worry was
that some of my friends would think I’m “lame” or “boring” but what I’m coming
to terms is that I don’t’ need the approval of anyone on what I choose to do.
You see those who love you will be understanding, and will be easy to
compromise when it comes to making “friend time.”
We live in a world where we all
seek the “approval” of others to make us feel more secure about what we choose
to do. Whether it be the job we choose, the college we pick, the neighborhood we
decide to live in, the school we place our kids in, the clothes we wear. I have
found that especially being a mother we care more about what others think! But
you see the only person that has to approve of us is the Lord. He knows our
heart and if we mean well with what we choose to do and we are making decisions
based on His word then no one else’s opinion matters. I heard something this
weekend that stuck in my head “people have the right to their opinions, but we
also have the right not to listen.” We don’t always have to seek the advice of
others, or wait to make a decision because we are afraid of what our family, friends,
or neighbors may think. If today you are torn by making a decision, buying a new
car, purchasing a new home, taking up a new sport, dying your hair a crazy
color, whatever it is search deep into your heart and the side that is pulling
you the strongest is the right choice. We must learn to listen to our
instincts. Fear can paralyze us from moving forward into our next level of
greatness. I am confident that today we will all start focusing more on the
approval from God, and staying true to OURSELVES. J Thanks for reading and as always oneLOVE

wanted us to be. We are what we are: That's the way it's going to be.” Bob

Well it surely is easy to all back into old habits, even though you clearly want nothing to do with that lifestyle anymore, I can imagine doing the same, however I can't comment on what it'd be like w a child lol
