Hello Readers! Well after a fun
weekend we are back to the daily grind. Today I would like to talk about
“getting your sexy back.” At first I had just planned on gearing this post
towards women, but I think men deal with these type of insecurities as well but
aren’t as open about them as us women are. So my inspiration comes from a
recent dilemma I was struggling with. After weeks of coming to grips with a lot
of insecurities I was dealing with, and some “best friend intervention.” I am
finally ready to talk about. So not too long ago I had noticed that my
significant other was being a little distant. I know this man more than he
knows himself so I finally asked what was up. Long story short he told me via
text that “ I never dress up anymore and I was looking raggedy!” I know I know!
Your reaction was probably like mine…no mine was worse! Haha! I wanted to punch
him in the face! Anyway so after I got passed the anger and sadness eventually
I sat and talked to my go to “interventionist.” This person has no problem
telling me the flat out truth and how shit really is. So after telling her my
story she basically told me yes I get that your upset, but I also get where he
is coming from. In the end she reminded me that yes I was a mom, but that
didn’t mean I had to dress in baggy clothes or sweats all day! So the days that
followed I found ways to “get my sexy back.” Not only that to gain my
confidence back and to be that empowered women I have always been. So first
thing was first, I dug out all the sexy wardrobe from the bottom of my dresser
drawers. Why is it that we spend all this money on cute get ups and we toss
them in a drawer! So I opted to hang them up in my closet as displays! This way
not only can I see them everyday I go into my closet but so can my hubby! I
also hung up all my sexy bras, I was wearing sports bras most days cause they
are “comfy.” I think weather you’re a
parent we all go through a point where we loose some confidence or feel
insecure. These are all normal part of life feelings. And I know some of you
reading are thinking that your husband should think your man or women should
think your beautiful no matter how you look! Ha! This type of mentality is what
can break a relationship in my opinion. When you went on the first “formal
date” did you wear sweats and have your hair up in a bun. Point being when any
couple starts dating we tend to take our time to get ready and groom ourselves.
So are we basically selling a fake appearance? We are saying yes this is how I
look when I dress up but after I get cozy with you I want to wear sweats all
day! I’m not saying it’s not okay to have sweats days, because we all need
them. But dressing up isn’t only beneficial for the other person you see. This
is also a self esteem boost for us ourselves! So in the end it’s a win win
situation. Another point I would like to make is that being sexy doesn’t mean
you have to be a size zero or have muscles and a six -pack. Sexy comes in all
shapes and forms. When we walk around complaining about our appearance we start
to radiate this persona. If you look in the mirror in the morning and you
don’t’ like what you see most likely this is the vibe you walk around giving.
And this also tends to show in the way we dress and our overall look. If you
start talking positive words to yourself your vibe will change and you will
start feeling better about yourself over all. A few tips that I have found to
help are the following. I already expressed that ladies lingerie is fucking
expensive so let’s take that shit out of the drawers and display them for both
him and you to see. My dudes we all know you have that pair of holy underwear
you just refuse to get rid of. Throw them bitches away!! Red lipstick is known to boost your sex
appeal. So pull out the red lip once in awhile! Wearing sexy stuff at night
doesn’t necessary mean leather and spikes! Something see through, or lacy will
do the trick. Flaunt what you have! If you have a big booty then wear some
booty shorts with a cute top around the house. Your man will love seeing that
booty bounce around while you make dinner! If you have long legs or a flat
tummy wear a cut off tee with some shorts or yoga pants. Anything that shows
ANY kind of skin is good! Remind your self of what used to drive her crazy!
Married couples especially tend to get lazy when it comes to the bedroom stuff.
I have A LOT more tips and would LOVE to share them so please please comment!! Share
your experiences and thoughts! So this week I advice my ladies to go buy some
new panties or some fishnets and WEAR THEM! Anyone who is really in love and
comfortable shouldn’t have a problem doing this. Dudes bust out the Calvin
Klein boxer briefs and just walk around in them! If we are married or with you
that means we think your hot so show us some skin too! Thanks for reading my
